Comedy Tragedy Life

Dave mentioned the passing of Comedian, Cain Lopez. He only made it to 31 years of age but Cain accomplished much more in his short life than alot of us have or will in our careers. I remember his story about graduating from high school and getting the chance to open for Dave Chapelle. To pursue his dream to make people laugh at such a young age was a great vision. Fortunately, Cain had the talent to back that vision. In the eight or ten times I got to work with Cain, I can honestly say I never remember him having a bad set. This as comedians and most comedy fans know is almost unheard. Not only that he was a great guy. I never saw him talking down to new comics or club  staff and he always was willing to share a tag or help punch up a joke. He suffered several bouts of cancer and a debilitating car wreck but he never lost his love of comedy or life. We all missed out on a chance to see a future comedy star. We will miss you Cain! RIP
Your Friend,
Marc

  1. What a shame to have lost a fellow comedian friend at such a young age. Wish I would have had the opportunity to see him perform. Sounds as if he was an incredibly talented young man.
